TIME IS SHORT!

I never expected in my lifetime to see people in this country arrested for practicing their religion in their own homes. Prophecy in the Bible is being fulfilled even faster than I anticipated. I know that friends and I have had a sense of urgency to share the Gospel, we have discussed the need to share the love of Jesus and His promise of salvation to as many as possible, especially friends and loved ones. I am praying for family, friends, and every soul on earth as I type, time is short. None of us will know the day or the hour but the signs we were told to watch for have quickly been coming to pass. We are in the last days Jesus and Paul described, never before has there been so much war, famine, strife, in the world. Israel, the chosen of God, are a target more now than at anytime since reinstated to their homeland. Our current government is for the most part becoming a puppet for the UN, we are headed for one world government and one world currency. The only thing left is one world religion and those who are informed have heard of Chrislam, a blending of Christianity and Islam that promotes tolerance and acceptance of the two, while claiming we all serve the same God. I look forward to the time my Lord Jesus returns but in the meantime feel an urgency to make sure that everyone knows the deceiver is busy trying to destroy as many lives and souls as possible. Please take heed, there is only One God, only One Saviour, Jesus Christ. Jesus promoted love but He also promoted truth. Don't be decieved by the destroyer who is roaming the earth and filling people's minds with lies and corruption, tickling their ears with what they want to hear and believe. Pick up the Bible and pray that God and the Holy Spirit guide you to the truth and the light. The battle our troops are fighting in the middle east is a spiritual battle, the descendents of Abraham are battling the descendents of Ishmael. We who are followers of Jesus know who has already won the battle, praying we reach as many as possible with the Gospel!

Homecoming and July 4th

Just returned Sunday from Jeffrey's 2nd Deployment Homecoming. His Company arrived on base Friday night to the great joy and relief of their family and friends. I pray this was his last deployment but since he submitted re-enlistment paperwork before he returned home I don't know how realistic that is. Regardless I know the Lord has His hand on my family and I am grateful for His continued covering. Since my last post Hubby has his chicken coop finished, chickens are growing fast, shouldn't be but a couple of months and we will start getting eggs. Didn't put out a garden this year but have some Tomato plants starting to bloom. We've already been harvesting Blueberries and Blackberries. Troy's mouth is watering for a Blackberry Cobbler. I guess that will be our dessert tonight. Several invitations to celebrate the 4th but we decided to spend a restful day at home. We feel like Homecoming was an adequate celebration : ) But we will have burgers, potatoe salad, and baked beans for dinner. Have a wonderful 4th of July and stay tuned for some new poetry in the near future, lots of words rattling around in my head, I will post as the Lord leads me.

Update

I know I have been remiss in posting for a long, long time. Much has happened but we have been truly blessed through it all. Both of my sons have married. My Marine married the day before I returned from the India mission, unexpected and to be honest not a pleasant discovery at the time. However, Christmas 2009 we were informed we would be grandparents, oh what a joy! 2010 proved to be a very busy and blessed year. We finally found a house we loved and the offer was accepted. My oldest niece and youngest brother both had weddings in April. June we closed on our home. July my oldest son married his sweetheart, we moved into home and sold the old one, beautiful granddaughter was born, and our Marine was deployed to Afghanistan. I thought I was prepared for his military service but soon discovered how ill-prepared I really was. They suffered their first loss of life the end of August and that was just the beginning of the losses and injuries his unit suffered. With today's technology, we here at home usually knew almost immediately when a casualty occurred, but not who. Fear became a constant battle for me. Even when it was determined it wasn't my son, the guilt and heartbreak for the families of the fallen ripped me apart. My son has since returned healthy and whole. My older son and his wife have blessed us with a beautiful grandson. My Marine is again deployed to Afghanistan, twice in 17 months. He should be home this time right before his daughter's 2nd birthday. His first deployment she was a week old. So much sacrifice from these young men. I have been blessed to get to know the families of other Marines and members of our military. Thank God for these people. They are almost all, God-fearing, morally upright, caring people who stand in the gap for our country. That is a quick update for now. I hope to start posting more frequently again. Love in Christ.
